New music vid by Gaga and Beyonce = train wreck. So bad you don't want to look, but so hard to stop starting at the same time. It's that messed up. I get the 'creative' aspect, but in this case, it was done so poorly. A bunch of trashy women in a jail cell, even though the song is about a club, turns into a murder rampage using honey to kill off citizens in trailer trash communities. Only thing positive I can say about this is Gaga's style at the beginning (minus the beer cans used as 'bump its' in her hair).

I've been hearing about her and seeing her from time to time on the tele, and I think she's absolutely fabulous. Only 13 years old and reaching success at a rapid pace, Tavi Gevinson is the princess blogger in fashion today. If anyone gave fashion design a quirky, yet marvelous twist, it was Alexander McQueen. Worn by stars such as Sarah Jessica Parker, and today's hottest new artists such as Lady Gaga, McQueen has made his departure. Sadly, in London, England today, he passed away by taking his own life. McQueen was 40 years old. Very sad news, as he was such a talented, unique, and inspirational artist. 

A spokeswoman for his company: "On behalf of Lee McQueen's family, Alexander McQueen today announces the tragic news that Lee McQueen, the founder and designer of the Alexander McQueen brand, has been found dead at his home."

Our family's foundation, The Steele Family Foundation, successfully closed our fundraising challenge today – The Haitian Challenge – with a whoping $20,000 donated from friends, family, co-workers, and other supporters. The Steele Family Foundation is matching that total, resulting in $40,000, which will also be matched by the Canadian Government, resulting in a final tally of $80,000. Jennifer meets with Humanitarian Coalition representative this week to hand over the cheque. 

Thanks to everyone who supported and got the word out.  We appreciate all the effort for such a wonderful cause.

As I am currently reading this book now, I must say, it's actually a decent read. For your light reading pleasure, this book scratches the surface on an issue that is often explored much more deeply: the effects of today's modern society on young women. Nonetheless, it brings the issue to light. What I like most about this book, is the author's candidness mixed with her sense of humor. The issues are relevant, and I completely side with the author on the matters she discusses.  I believe every young woman should re assess her image (inner and outer) and life goals accordingly. Pick up a copy! Choose Class over Trash, ladies, and bring the sophisticated style back into pop culture.

A massive earthquake hit Haiti this past Tuesday. The quake measured 7 on the Richter scale and has resulted in severe damage in and around the capital Port-au-Prince. As a result, many people are now homeless and hungry. Said to be Haiti's worst quake in two centuries, those who can help are called to donate. 

The Canadian Government will match donations made to a registered charity in the Haiti relief effort. 

The Steele Family Foundation is a Canadian registered charity, and is helping with this crisis through our very own 'Haitian Challenge'.
